Male Foster Rabbits for Adoption

Please remember to send us an adoption application before contacting us about adopting a rabbit - thanks. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian fill out the application.

Benny Bunser

Benny is a young adult Rex. He came to us from Syracuse because his front teeth were very badly maloccluded. He has since had them removed and is in very good health. Benny is enthusiastic when it comes to eating. He loves, loves, loves to eat! His favorite veggies are parsley and carrots. We just break up the parsley and shred the carrots so they are easier for him to eat. He also loves quick oats mixed in with his morning pellets! Benny enjoys his playtime too! Running through his cardboard tunnel, binking and digging then flopping down. Benny Buster is a nice bunny who likes to be pet, but will certainly let you know when he’s ready for some alone time.

Duke

I have been fostering Duke for a while now, and I have noticed nothing but love and curiosity coming from this rabbit. Since the first day he came to me, he has always been very good at letting me know what he wants. He taps his water bottle when he wants more, as well as his food dish. When he wants to come out of his cage for a "roam" round the house, he stands on his hind legs and pushes the top door on his cage until I hear him and let him out. When he is out of his cage, he prefers carpeted floors. He will let you know when he needs to use a litter pan by scratching the floor (which is nice because I don't have to worry about picking up "cocoa pebbles" everywhere). He gets along with my two little dogs and also my cat. It is adorable to watch Duke just sit and rub his face with his hands as my older dog licks his face and ears. Whoever adopts this bun is going to be one lucky person/family! He is a great, handsome, smart, lovable bun who doesn't ask for muchbut gives a lot.

Bo

Bo enjoys running around a nice large room but his favorite thing is most certainly his treats! You give Bo just one treat and you'll be best friends for life! He's a joy to watch with his "propeller" ears (1 ear up and the other down) and he knows he's cute and if he wiggles them around you can't help but give him attention!

Mr. Rumbley

Mr. Rumbley is a timid fella who is searching for bunny love. This handsome spotted lop would make a great husbun for a lonely female bunny. He’s looking to share his tunnel—and his heart—with a very special someone. Mr. Rumbley will do best in an exercise pen in a house without dogs, cats or children.

Gameboy

Gameboy loves to play hide and seek with his human and dogs…and he usually wins! He also plays hopscotch on his colorful rugs, then settles in for a well-deserved nap. This darling bunny boy is much more fun than the video game, and he promises to keep you amused with his antics!

Monarch

Monarch is a social butterfly who adores humans, even more than his bunny brothers and sisters. This adorable bunny with chocolately ears races to the door to bestow kisses and then follows his human everywhere like a puppy! He’s a mellow fella who wants to hop into your home…and heart.

Scout

Scout is a true explorer—this brave bunny enjoys hopping over boxes and wiggling into new spaces. He spends his days checking out all those enticing sights, sounds, and smells; then Scout flops into the nearest lap for some loving. If you’re searching for a curious and fearless companion, Scout’s your bun!

Owen

Those ears stretch out to next week! Owen is a small-framed tan belgian hare mix who was brought into a shelter and then into foster care. He was living as a stray when a cat attacked him, the nice folks who brought him into the shelter probably saved his life. You'd never know he had a past life as a stray; Owen makes a great house rabbit! His litterbox habits are great and he is very curious, yet respectful of his environment. He's very outgoing and will come right up to you and "bump" you with his nose to say hello! Owen is a social gentleman and would do great in a multiple-bunny household or as a single bun.

Bass and Bamboo

Bass is the smallest of the Albany Rescue Bunnies. He is the last of the litter to achieve any challange and is the shyest of the group. Bass would do well in a quiet home. He is easily scared and is a sensitive bunny. Bamboo was rescued for Albany in August. He is a very nice bunny who is willing to play and be held.

Neuman

Before being rescued he had a difficult young life when he was caged with an un-neutered sibling and suffered through attacks and injuries. Neuman's injuries eventually healed and the only sign of his experience is a half chewed ear. He still looks handsome though! Although Neuman is curious about other buns, due to his prior trauma he would do best caged as a single rabbit. Neuman has tidy litter habits and is easy to handle. He enjoys being petted and loves to romp around during exercise time. Neuman is looking forward to the forever home where he will get lots of love.
