There are good reasons for adopting
a pair of rabbits or for adopting a second bunny if you already have one
- Rabbits are social anlmals and enjoy the company of other bunnies.
- If you and your family are away from home for most of the day, then your rabbit
will be lonely without other animals for company.
- It is great fun to watch rabbits interact. They love to
snuggle together and they develop very deep bonds with each
other.
See the nagivation bar on the left for bonded pairs ready for
adopting. If you have a single rabbit, consider adopting another
bunny of the opposite sex. It takes some time and effort to
bond bunnies, but we can provide advice.

Bertha and Vincent were already bonded when they were rescued as
strays. They are totally devoted to each other. We can almost hear
their conversation as they snuggle closely together: "You are my sun, my moon,
my sweet dandelions in springtime, my forever bunny, my everything," "Can I have some of your
banana next time?" "I'll just pretend that I didn't hear that."

Chloe's owner wanted Chloe to have a companion, so she adopted
Clarence from the HRS. Chloe was at first suspicious of a new
rabbit and it took about one month for them to fully bond, but
now they are best friends and love to play together. Clarence
is the Dutch mix bunny on the right. We are hoping that he will
eventually grow into those ears.
