Mira was rescued from an outdoor situation where she was infected with cuterebra. (Cuterebra Extraction video - caution graphic) She had the parasites removed, had recovered from this nasty experience and went to live in her new foster home. Here she could rest for a while before being spayed and adopted. She did very well for several weeks, but then became sick and died very suddenly at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals, where she received the very best treatment and care. We will miss Mira terribly, but are glad that we could give her those happy weeks where she was loved and cared for, free to run and play and visit with other bunnies.
